Erica's Ceramics
I came to pottery just a few short years ago after leaving my job as a primary school teacher.
Since then I have opened a workshop in Troedyrhiw, South Wales where I not only spend many enjoyable hours 'playing' with clay, but also run adult classes, lessons and workshops for kids.
Privacy policy
Erica’s Ceramics is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third parties that I do not own or control, you can reference their Privacy Policies to learn more about its privacy practices.
To fulfil your order, you have to provide me with certain information, such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order, for example), if you contact me directly.
INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU
We may collect and process the following data about you:
1. Information you give us.
You my give us information about you by filling in forms, and providing consent, when you sign up for our email updates and coupons. This includes your first name and email address. This information is relayed to you through Mailchimp, an email marketing service. (see Mailchimp’s privacy policy).

You may give us information about you when you place an order. This may include your name, address, phone number and email address. This is done via legitimate interests in order for us to fulfil your order.

We may receive information about you if you use any third parties (Etsy, PayPal, Facebook, WorldPay) when you place orders or make payments. If making a payment via card machine, receipts are kept for tax purposes.
HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION
We use information held about you in the following ways:
- to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
- to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;
- to notify you about changes to our goods or services;
- to develop and test products and services
- to carry out our legal obligations for tax purposes
SHARING OF INFORMATION
Erica’s Ceramics only shares information with third parties where you have provided details when making an order through Etsy, or you have made a payment through PayPal; your data is stored with them – please refer to their privacy policies – and is not used for any other purpose other than to complete the order.
HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED
Erica’s Ceramics stores data from previous customers in an encrypted electronic file. This includes names, addresses and email addresses. This data is deleted as soon as the purchase is complete.
Etsy – if you have made a purchase through Etsy the information you provided is stored with them.
PayPal – if you made a transaction using this method of payment, PayPal stores this information.
Facebook – if you have provided details (usually addresses) when carrying out a private purchase this is stored within Facebook inbox and is deleted as soon as the transaction is complete.
Card Machine – if you have made a payment via card machine, this information is stored for tax purposes for a period of two years. Receipts are kept in a locked file.

What are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files which often include a unique identifier that are sent to and stored on your device when you visit certain web pages.
Erica’s Ceramics website is hosted by Vistaprint who only use one cookie to count the number of unique visitors, so we know how many people visit the website.
This cookie is not used for anything else beyond this. It does not use or store any personally identifiable information. (see Vistaprint cookie policy)
YOUR RIGHTS
- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. (except where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will delete your personal information upon request.
- Object. You can object to
- my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and
- receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you wish to raise a concern about my use of your information, you have the right to do so.
CHANGESThis policy is reviewed and revised where necessary. We will notify you of any changes.
